Welcomes You

Our Motto: Less is More.

Elporia, Inc. develops online marketplaces that rely on the use of smart technologies to establish provenance, detect fraud, and reduce waste. Our mission is to minimize (y)our carbon footprint by creating next-gen brands that are not only sustainable, but data-driven and eco-friendly.

Value Proposition

We are in the process of introducing to the marketplace, a range of online websites, owned and operated by a group of aspiring entrepreneurs who are bound by, and subscribe to, the following principles:

NO to Fakes

We discourage our partners from selling inferior goods and services which means NO knockoffs, NO unauthorized copies, and NO counterfeits allowed.

NO to Gamification

We discourage our partners from using tricks or gotcha’s or gimmicks to capture your attention and monetize your eyeballs. As a result, our websites are simple, unencumbered and ad-free. We rely on relatively passive techniques like riveting text, compelling photos, meaningful graphics, and ample use of color to spark interest.

NO to One-Upmanship

We discourage our partners from engaging in behavior deemed to be overly SELF-serving, SELF-dealing, and SELF-promoting.

NO to a Hidden Agenda

Nor do we or will we allow our partners to pursue competitive advantages that are considered (by impartial third-parties) to be UNfair, UNscrupulous,  UNderhanded, UNconscionable and UNtoward.

NO to Business As Usual

We discourage pathological behavior. As witnesses to failing institutions, it’s high time we stopped rewarding bullies, psychopaths, narcissists, assholes and sycophants with our best jobs, highest paid positions and compensation packages designed to produce aberrant and non-equitable outcomes with glaring conflicts of interest. Want to enable just, fair, collaborative and empathy-driven work environments? Change the carrot, not the stick.

NO to Obsolescence

Planned or otherwise. Our criteria for selecting products: durability, reliability, affordability and elegance may seem out of step in a world addicted to disposable products, gig workers, and just-in-time manufacturing. We assure you, it’s not. In fact, the practices we are putting in place are harbingers of a new wave of production and wealth creation. There’s no more tolerance for winners-take-all.. It’s that kind of thinking that got us in the mess we’re in, in the first place.

NO to Discriminant Pricing

We discourage our partners from using family/friends, associations, time of day, and FICO Scores or whatever data points that go into the mix to dictate what prices you pay. On all of our websites, you’ll find that the prices we display are the same for everyone, regardless of circumstances or lifestyle choices.

No more “you get a better price than I do” just because you happen to like cat pics, joined the PTA and tend to vote conservative whereas I refuse to register, even as an independent; never bother to up- or down-vote my preferences and when it comes to social media, I might as well be a ghost. And yet, here we are. The very best of “buds” with a friendship that dates back to the first grade. Though, based on ads we view, the prices we see and the promo codes we get, you’d never know our paths cross, much less, intersect. As far as our algorithmic overlords are concerned, we are worlds apart and they treat us accordingly.

At the Elporia Network, we continue to be wary of “slicing and dicing” and so too, should you.

YES to Transparency

We encourage and promote the idea that all of our transactions should be based on evidence, openness, accountability and full disclosure.

YES to Science

We encourage all of our partners to make ample use of technology in order to provide an optimal experience for our customers, writ large. Where do we draw a line? When an “improvement” becomes counter-productive. Any of the innovations we implement has to work for the betterment of “all and sundry” and not just the bottom line.

YES to Empowerment

We encourage all of our stakeholders to support, promote and reward employee-owned and operated websites and businesses.

YES to Fair Trade

We encourage all of our associates to participate in WIN-WIN transactions where all of our stakeholders (producers, distributors, professionals, support, sellers and buyers) reap a genuine benefit.

YES to Flexibility

We encourage all of our managers to support working from home, same pay with shorter hours, fewer days per week, and more time off. In our opinion, vacations and breaks should be mandatory. With the way we currently work, there is never enough alone-time. Not only will it recharge our creative juices, it will reduce our carbon footprint. We have the tech, now let’s use it to harness “We The People” and not “Big Brother.”

YES to Stewardship

We encourage all of our supporters to upgrade their mental models and think of themselves as responsible caretakers and NOT entitled masters who use up, discard and exploit with reckless abandon. It’s time to readjust our thinking to be more considerate of how much we consume, what we consume, and why we consume. Either we agree to change voluntarily and willingly or we’ll be forcibly changed by circumstances beyond our control. AKA disaster politics. Let’s not go there.

YES to 'We the People'

We encourage all of our supporters to go back to basics and start putting rank-and-file, everyday people over profits, technology and the inexorable march towards crony capitalism. Do we need reminding? A country is made up of its people, not it’s economy or it’s stock market, which by the way, can be easily manipulated and trust us when we say, it is and they do. There is no such thing as free markets and unfettered regulation. Rather, a country is judged by its humanity and its treatment of the poor, the elderly, and the infirm. Not it’s military might or the number of incarcerated or the slashing of its social safety net. Most nations, not all, are failing to redistribute wealth in such a way that everyone benefits and not just the fat cats at the top. It’s long overdue but the time has come to right the ship of state and start electing politicians who represent “We the People” and not “XYZ, Inc.” Until we take back our country, we won’t have one worth living in. You’d think our leaders would understand the first rule of governing and politics 101, but apparently they don’t. And whose fault is that? Time to stand up and be counted.
